Not every AI tool with a slick landing page is worth your money. Here's what we personally check before recommending โ€” or buying โ€” any AI tool.

1. Vague or Unverifiable Claims

"10x your productivity" or "guaranteed results" with no specifics behind it is a red flag. Legitimate tools usually describe what they actually do in concrete terms, not just outcome promises.

2. No Free Trial or Demo

If a tool won't let you try before you buy โ€” even a limited trial โ€” that's worth pausing on. Most reputable tools, including higher-priced ones, offer at least a demo or short trial period.

3. Pricing Hidden Until Checkout

Tools that don't show pricing until you're deep into a signup flow are often hiding upsells. Compare this to tools with transparent pricing pages you can check anytime.

4. No Clear Refund Policy

Before buying any paid tool โ€” especially one-time purchases on marketplaces like JVZoo or WarriorPlus โ€” check the refund policy. A reasonable refund window is a good sign of vendor confidence.

5. Reviews That All Sound the Same

If every review of a tool reads like it was written from the same script (or is suspiciously glowing with zero mentioned downsides), be skeptical. We intentionally list both pros and cons in every review for this reason.

"If a review has no downsides at all, it's probably not a review โ€” it's an ad."
